The beauty of vintage...

The beauty of vintage is that it is has a history, but it can be worn in a new way, the star component of a very fashion forward style sense. Vintage dealers like me crave these timeless pieces of beauty and curate collections that span decades and merge trends.

The best of fashion, the most seductive materials, the exceptional details, the perfect dart and the most exquisite buttons, vintage is easy, sexy sophistication: the woman you can’t take your eyes off at a party whose amazing stories of her past match her fabulous charmeuse dress or killer crocodile heels. She's definitely the one you’ll remember the next morning when you’re recuperating from the bubbly.

INSPIRATION FRIDAY

(ssshh, I know it's Saturday)

Howdy! Did everyone enjoy their post holiday work weeks? Did you struggle to transition from beach BBQs to morning meetings? Over here at 1 of a Find, morning starts at noon, so we don't have much to complain about, but we do got SYMPATHY! So to make your life easier, here are some quick tricks to take one really cool statement blouse and create three unique looks.

The Blouse: A 1970's Alphonse Mucha print button up.

$125

LOOK #1: Business as un-usual

Skirt $48, Shoes $89, Belt $28, Necklace $48, Etienne Aigner saddle bag $85

Hey, Boo. That you heading the art department of that really great foodie mag? Loved that last spread on artichoke paté! Want to express your creativity while fitting in in a corporate environment? It's easy really. Take your amazing Mucha print top, pair it with a 70's denim skirt, jazz the look up with a fun belt and statement necklace, and slip into some cute Via Spiga shooties. Et voila!

LOOK #2: Lunch with the ladies

Wrap dress $85, Brooch $55, Coral necklace $225, Opal necklace $85, Clutch  $48, Pumps $135

Let's get real. We've ALL seen Sex and the City, and we've all imagined ourselves dining with our fearsome friend foursome. Am I right? (Yes). It's always fun to get a little playful with your daytime duds. Put a simple khaki wrap dress over your blouse, add an art nouveau-y gold brooch, and layer on some coral and opal necklaces. Slide on your Maud Frizon cap toes, grab your clutch, and order yourself a nicoise salad.

LOOK #3: DATE NIGHT

Skirt $76, Ivory necklace $185, Clutch $185, Pumps $85

The most important night(s) of the week. It's summer, time to show a little skin! Tie that Mucha up, zip up your high wasted black satin skirt, add some coral and ivory beads, and grab your butterscotch TURTLE skin clutch (sorry, vegans!). Where your Italian black bow pumps at? Oh, yes, there they are. Time to make them swoon.

Tune in next week for Inspiration Friday: A weekly tribute to YOU!

Maylis
